The Breeder's Book Club

Learning how not to be a parent, one book at a time

Being a parent can be scary, difficult, and confusing. Luckily, there are thousands and thousands of awful books written by stupid people that will tell you exactly what you're doing wrong. But who has time to read them all?

We do. Every two weeks, our elite team of comedy moms and dads reads a different parenting book. Then, heroically, we mine nuggets of wisdom from the steaming piles of guidance. In podcast form.

We get judged so you don't have to. We are

So You Want to Listen to Podcasts

Welcome, new initiate to the exciting world of podcasts. You're not going to believe how much truly excellent, totally free comedy, music, drama and news there is out there.

What's a Podcast?

Podcasts are recurring audio programs. If you want to, you can stream podcasts (like this one) directly from the web, or you can manually download mp3s of podcast episodes to play back later. But the great thing about podcasts is that you can subscribe to them. Once you've subscribed with your favorite podcast player, it will download your favorite podcast automatically whenever a new episode comes out.

What's the Easiest Way to Listen to This Thing?

Go to The Podcast page in your web browser and click the little play button near the episode you want to hear.

How Do I Subscribe To and Play Podcasts?

It depends on what kind of device you want to use to listen to the podcast. We've written instructions for the most popular options.

iPhones

First, you need to download the Podcasts app on your phone. Once you've got the app, you can use its search capability to find our show, or you can just click the button below:

Android Devices

First, you need to download a podcast app. There are about a billion choices, but our favorite is BeyondPod. Once you've installed BeyondPod, click "Add feed" from BeyondPod's home screen. On the feed selection screen, click the little magnifying glass to search, and type in "Breeder's Book Club".

If you want to use some other podcasting app for some reason, first try using its search function to find us (we're listed in the iTunes store, so most apps can find us). Some apps might require you to enter an RSS feed address. If it comes to that, visit our Subscribe page for our feed details.

Computers

It's super easy. Use iTunes. If you have a Mac, iTunes is already installed. If you have a Windows machine, you probably have iTunes installed anyway, but if you don't, you can download it from Apple's website.

Then, you can search for our podcast in the iTunes store, or just click this button:

Are There Other Podcasts I Would Like?
